About us
Our products are created in the beautiful county of Northumberland.
The idea of The Happy Caravanner came after our first season of touring; and, at the time, our then young son kept getting lost amongst the sea of white caravans. I decided to make a hitch cover out of some patterned oilcloth to help our van stand out from the rest; the ideas have continued from there. Wanting to personalise our ‘van to our own taste and style and to make some attempt to organise the somewhat mountain of stuff we seemed to take with us began our business journey. What began with a coated-cotton caravan hitch cover and some decorative bunting has developed into a range of soft furnishings, gifts and bespoke products made to order.
Crazy about caravans
After buying our first caravan, an impulse purchase after a rather restless sleep in a leaking tent, we have never looked back. Enjoying the freedom of the open road, the range of sites to visit and the new neighbours on each holiday. We are now onto our fourth caravan and we continue to love the outdoor life and exploring the sights and sounds of the UK.
Since 2018 the business has continued to grow in its range of products, heavily influenced by the camper, caravanning and motorhoming community. In addition to the items in the shop, many items can be customised to suit your style or the size of your space. Personalised items are also available.
